It is an ultra luxury cruise line headquartered in Miami, Florida. The company calls itself The Yachts of Seabourn and was started in 1986 by a consortium of Norwegian investors headed by industrialist Atle Brynestad under the name Signet Cruise Lines, but adopted the name Seabourn Cruise Line shortly afterward after objections from Signet Oil over trademark ownership.
It has the best offers – from short seven-day Caribbean cruises to exotic 100-plus day cruises around the world. Owned by Carnival Corporation, which also includes Holland America Line, Princess Cruises, Carnival Cruises, Cunard Line, Costa Cruises, P&O Cruises, and AIDA Cruises, it is a true choice when it comes to cruises.
Seabourn’s suites come with good amenities – designer soaps, flat screen televisions, DVD players, and Bose Wave sound systems. Their array of ships is increasing every year. Seabourn Sojourn is due to be delivered in the spring of 2010 and Seabourn Quest in the summer of 2011. The new ones will have spas, spacious multiple decks, various dining venues and more.
